Welcome back to another chapter of Book Swap Social, Fall Edition 🍂🎃
We invite you to join us this October for yet another cozy and spooky Book Swap Social. It'll be a chill and cozy night, there'll be sweet treats, fun games, good company and excellent book recommendations.
For the month of Halloween, we encourage you to bring books that'll make you afraid of the dark, bring a chill down your spine and inspire horror and dread! Graphic novels, picture books, and short stories are also welcome too Muhahaha 🧛♂️~
Schedule
7:00–7:30 -- When you arrive, make your way all the way to the room in the back. Grab a name tag, some food and drinks and mingle amongst each other while we wait for people to arrive. Food, drinks and utensils will be provided but if you like to cook, you're more than welcome to bring something too!
7:30–8:00 -- Now that people have settled in, we'll separate people into teams, do some quick ice-breakers and play some fun trivia!
8:00–9:00 -- The moment you've been waiting for! Introduce everyone to the book you brought, and give us your best sales pitch on why someone should choose your book! Once everyone has had a chance to share, we'll start exchanging white elephant style~

Q: What is a Book Swap Social?
A: As the name implies, people bring books, socialize and at the end of the night we exchange the books we brought for a new one.
Q: Are there any limits or restrictions to the books I can bring?
A: You can bring as many books as you like! They can be fiction, nonfiction, manga, graphic novels etc. Most importantly, it should be a book you would recommend and think others might enjoy.
Q: Why did you decide to create book swap social?
A: Calvin: "This year I really wanted to step out of my comfort zone, meet new people and make new friends. I like to read, and I figured if I attended some kind of book event, I'll meet like-minded folks. And so I decided to host and organize BSS! "
