The Vocal Upgrade Workshop — Identify What’s Limiting Your Singing & What to Focus On
You know something in your singing isn’t quite working, but what exactly should you change?
Should you practise more? Support harder? Relax? Choose easier songs?
Without understanding what is actually limiting your voice, it is easy to spend months repeating exercises that do not address the real issue.
Vocal Upgrade is a hands-on (or rather, voice-on) workshop designed to help you understand how singing works, identify what may be holding your voice back, and develop a clearer direction for improving it.
What You’ll Discover
① See the bigger picture of singing
Understand how voice, musicianship and artistry work together, and why progress can stall when one part of the system is missing.
② Identify what may be causing your vocal struggles
Discover how your state, vocal coordination and compensations can contribute to problems such as:
Strain and fatigue
Weakness or lack of projection
Shouty, breathy or unstable high notes
Breaking or flipping between registers
You’ll also learn why two singers with a similar struggle may need completely different solutions.
③ Understand high notes and mix voice
Learn how chest voice and head voice work across your range, why many singers become stuck around the bridge, and how better vocal balance can help you sing higher with greater strength, freedom and consistency.
④ Learn a more reliable way to improve
Instead of relying on random warm-ups or generic advice online, discover our four-stage training process:
Assess → Address → Advance → Apply
This helps you identify the problem, choose an appropriate exercise, develop the coordination and transfer it into actual songs.
Small-Group Voice Assessment
You’ll join a breakout group led by Kenogi or Cindy, where you can sing a simple scale and learn what the coach hears in your low notes, bridge and higher range.
You may also choose to observe if you are not comfortable singing yet.
Live Demo Coaching
Kenogi and Cindy will then coach two volunteer singers in real time.
You’ll see how they:
Assess the singer’s vocal tendencies
Choose targeted exercises
Make adjustments based on what they hear
Apply the improvement to a song
This allows you to experience the difference between simply receiving vocal advice and being coached through a systematic process.
What You’ll Leave With
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have:
A clearer understanding of how singing works
Greater awareness of what may be limiting your voice
A better idea of what you should focus on next
A more purposeful way to practise and evaluate your progress
You will not just leave with more vocal information. You’ll leave with a clearer map for your next stage of development.
