Plugged is partnering with Notion to help you build your first working sales agent.
You've seen the demos. Notion has agents. This evening is about making one that actually does something useful for your business.
Led by Brendan Rodgers, Notion Consulting Partner, this Labs workshop is structured around one honest goal: you leave having built a custom agent applied to your own sales motion, and you understand how to extend it from there.
Who this is for
Founders who want to bring their sales process into one place — whether that's managing outreach, tracking deals, automating follow-up, or getting meeting context out of their head and into their system.
Bring your own tools and your own stack. If you're already running a CRM, a social scheduler, or an email sequencer, bring it. You'll need a Notion account and some willingness to break things and try again.
A note on accounts: custom agents require a Notion Business tier. Free trial links will be available on the night for eligible participants.
THE AGENDA
🕕 6:00pm — Doors Open
Arrive, grab a drink, and meet other builders.
🧠 6:30pm — How to Build a Custom Agent
Note: you'll need a Notion account on the night. Free trial links for Business tier will be available for eligible participants — custom agents require Business.
Brendan Rodgers, Notion Consulting Partner, walks through the THREAD framework and demos a custom agent live inside a CRM and task board.
The demo is specific: AI meeting notes captured directly to a CRM contact page, tasks extracted, context carried forward.
You'll also see Notion AI Connectors and MCP in action.
how a custom Notion agent differs from a one-shot AI prompt
databases, properties, and agent instructions
how Notion connects to your CRM, inbox, and outreach tools
when one workflow is enough vs when agents are actually doing the work
what's real today vs what people overclaim about "agentic" systems
🎯 Outcome: You understand the Notion model you're about to build — and what makes it more than a fancy database.
⚙️ 7:00pm — Build Time: Phase 1
Structured open build.
Brendan maps the available ingredients at the start — MCP connections to Notion Mail, Gmail, Outlook Calendar, and Notion Forms — and you choose how to combine them for your own sales process. He'll be circulating throughout.
connect your tools and configure your workspace
define your agent's role, instructions, and operating style
run the agent on a real task from your own pipeline
🎯 Outcome: A working custom agent completing its first task — drafting a follow-up, updating a deal stage, or surfacing who's gone cold.
🍕 7:45pm — Food Pizza, beer, soft drinks.
Step away, recharge, compare notes.
what are people building?
which configurations are working well?
where are people getting stuck?
🎯 Outcome: New ideas, faster iteration, and a clearer sense of how others are approaching their sales agents.
🔁 8:15pm — Build Time
Phase 2 Building continues. For those who want to push further, this is the session for exploring Notion Workers and what comes next for agentic workflows.
tighten your agent's instructions and task boundaries
make better use of Notion's connected tools and memory
introduce additional agents where it actually helps
test simple handoffs across your sales motion
🎯 Outcome: You see how a single agent evolves into a sales operating system that moves without you touching every piece.
📢 9:00pm — Show and Tell
Up to six founders demo what they built.
what worked
what broke
what changed once it became a real system
how to improve the next iteration
🎯 Outcome: Learn faster by seeing how other people translated ideas into working Notion sales agents — and take the best ones home.
Spaces are capped at 30. Come ready to make something
