Smart Contracts 101

​Come learn how to write smart contracts and create your own custom token!

​We'll look at the basics of how programmable blockchains like Ethereum work and how we can deploy smart contracts on them written in Solidity.

​We'll use this to create a custom token that gets deployed to a real testnet that anyone can interact with.

​By the end of the workshop everyone will have deployed their own ERC20 token which they can mint and share with their friends.

​No prior experience with programming or Solidity is required.

​What You'll Need

• ​laptop

• ​Metamask browser extension installed

• ​We'll go through how to use the following but it helps if you've already done some of these steps:

  • ​Once you have metamask installed get some sepolia testnet ETH here
