made merry: the wcc holiday social in support of the stop community food centre - holiday ornament painting
make merry... the well connected club holiday social. this year we’re making something, and giving something back.
we’re back with tigerbaby, who we made pottery with in april, and this time we’re painting ornaments.
you’ll paint your own, sarah’s team fires it, and it’s ready to pick up from tigerbaby in time to hang before the holidays. you’ll hang it every year, even if it turns out a little wonky.
we’ll start with a quick round and prompt so everyone knows who’s in the room. then paint, holiday music, something to snack on, and the kind of conversation that only happens when your hands are busy.
no white elephant. no small talk you’ll forget by january. instead, we’re giving back to The Stop Community Food Centre, just up the road on Davenport. they’ve spent decades feeding this neighbourhood with dignity, and the holidays are when it counts most.
a good night with good people, something to show for it, and a little more on someone else’s table this season.

give back ($85): your spot, plus $10 to The Stop
give more ($100): your spot, plus $25 to The Stop
every ticket includes your ornament, paints and glazes, firing, and light refreshments. every dollar from give back and give more goes straight to The Stop. wcc isn’t a registered charity, so we can’t issue tax receipts.
