Not every Web3 meetup needs to happen on Discord or be a formal event in a hall.
Proof of Grass is a small, casual IRL gathering bringing together developers, founders, creators, operators, and crypto-curious minds from Kolkata. We’ll kick things off with a friendly 1-hour turf football match — because touching some grass, having fun, and meeting people IRL is just as important as talking about tech.
After the game, we’ll cool down with some Diet Coke while diving into the Solana ecosystem and the upcoming Solana India Summit. We’ll have experienced Solana developers from Kolkata, many of whom are building companies or working at reputed startups, sharing their journeys, experiences, and insights.
For those new to Solana, we’ll keep things beginner-friendly with a Solana 101 / ecosystem primer, covering what Solana is, what’s happening in the ecosystem, how to get started, and ways to contribute through hackathons, grants, jobs, and community initiatives. We’ll also share useful information about the India Summit, including how newcomers can reserve a spot and get involved.
The evening will end with an open dinner conversation where people can talk about what they’re building, exchange ideas, pitch potential collaborations, find teammates, or simply meet other people working in the ecosystem.
The goal is simple: take online connections offline, help more people discover Solana, and bring the Kolkata community closer together — while having some fun, playing football, and quite literally touching some grass along the way.
