About Event
Alice McGinty is a beloved and inspirational figure on the West Side of Cleveland. Her lifelong passion and determination perfectly embody her motto: "Painting is the only thing that makes sense."
Her incredible art show at The Matriarchy highlights the healing and centering power of creativity. Diagnosed with macular degeneration in 1985, Alice thought her painting days were over. With the help of devoted art instructor Susan Gray Bé, she continued to paint by using textured patterns, vibrant colors, and guided assistance to balance her compositions.
Join us for this art exhibition on display now through July 15, 2026 featuring the work of both Alice McGinty and Susan Gray Bé.
