Project Day: Float
Registration
About Event
What becomes possible when we let the world carry some of our weight?
By early August, the water is at its warmest and summer has settled into its own rhythm. The surrounding world feels less like something to overcome and more like a medium we can move within. Float is an invitation to loosen control, find support, and discover effortless motion.
Prompts:
What helps something remain afloat?
How much control can we safely release?
What changes when support comes from our surroundings?
Can surrender become a form of navigation?
What moves most freely when it carries less weight?
How do we design for ease rather than resistance?
Project cues:
warm water
suspended forms
buoyant structures
rising currents
wave motion
effortless lift
