Women Leaders Protecting People and Planet: Stories, Solutions and Solidarity
Join us for an inspiring event with frontline Indigenous and Afro-descendant women leaders and global advocates from the Americas as they share stories, strategies and solutions about the global biodiversity and climate crises by reforesting our hearts and minds.
Together, women in all of their diversity will address the root causes of interlocking crises, while creating space for deep reflection, understanding, and connection by weaving together the wisdom of cultural traditions with urgent political calls to action. Practical, pragmatic, and rooted in territory and solidarity– this is what happens when women lead.
The conversation will center on transformative, women-led solutions and strategies for defending the rights of women land defenders and protecting the sacred web of life from continued extraction. Together, we envision a future where the voices and knowledge of women lead the way toward a healthy, just, and livable planet for all generations.
