​Welcome to Read Among Reeds #1

​Join us for a relaxed evening of prose, poetry, and essay readings in the park with fellow writers and story lovers! Whether you’re an emerging writer looking to share your creative work, or a reader that just wants to meet local writers and hear their work, this is your space to connect with a small part of Toronto’s creative community.

​We’ll gather on the grass, under the shade if luck favours us, and share our stories in a relaxed, supportive environment. Bring your writing or just come to listen and meet other creatives.

​​Please bring:

• ​Something to sit on 🪑, such as a blanket

• ​Snacks 🥨 & drinks🥤for yourself (or to share if you’d like!) Some snacks and drinks will be provided.

• ​Your story/piece 📕 (if you will be reading one. You are also free to read an excerpt, as we will likely limit reading time to 5-7 min per person.) We will be taking breaks between every few readings.

​NOTE: The plan is to keep it casual, with the primary focus being to foster connection and encourage writers to step out of their shells. Please do not provide criticism, constructive or otherwise, unless the writer specifically requests it.
