January 2026 TrueNorthCTO @ Toronto
2026.01 - TrueNorthCTO @ Toronto
This session will include the following discussions:
1) Why Your Engineering Team is Slower Than It Should Be (And It’s Not the Tech)
Presenter: Luis Saffie, Engineering Leader | Co-Founder & CEO at Heirly
LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lsaffie/
Smart teams. Talented engineers. But everything takes forever. Luis walks through the real bottleneck, misalignment, and shares a simple framework that helps Toronto scaleups go from chaotic shipping to predictable delivery.
2) A Ridiculously Rapid Introduction to Rapid Software Testing
Presenter: Michael Bolton, Principle @ DevelopSense
LI Profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-bolton-08847/
Testing gets a bad reputation - slow, boring, and overly automated. That’s bad testing. Great testing is about learning through exploration and experimentation, with a focus on finding problems that actually matter before they show up in production.
In this talk, Michael Bolton introduces Rapid Software Testing and insights from his recent book, practical approach to uncovering real risk early and building more resilient software.
