We Turned In Our Signatures For Transit! Party in Oakland!
We've gathered the signatures--now let's get together to celebrate our impact over the last four months: over 77,000 grassroots signatures for Connect Bay Area gathered by over 1,000 advocates and transit supporters across the Bay Area! This labor of love has made a huge contribution to the overall signature gathering effort, signaling that public transit is a winning issue with strong on-the-ground support.
We will be at Two Pitchers Brewery (2344 Webster St) in Oakland from 1-3pm for this celebration. Join us to enjoy light fare and other treats, special guests, games, and awards—and to pick up your swag rewards and kick back with your fellow gatherers and other transit volunteers and supporters. This is an all-ages venue with indoor and outdoor spaces. Cash bar and option to stay after 3pm to continue to mingle.
Two Pitchers is a short walk from 19th St. BART, and is easily accessible from AC Transit's 12, 51A, and 88.
Feel free to bring any supplies that you want to return for re-use, such as clipboards, badge holders, and sign stands—and wear your transit swag! We can't wait to see you and celebrate turning in our signatures together.
