Applied agentic coding meetup (full)
***update 2*** Due to high demand, we're filming the talks and will share these with you after the event. Stay tuned!
**update 1** We've received an overwhelming response to this event and have reached capacity. Signing up doesn't guarantee a spot immediately; you’ll be added to the waitlist, and we’ll reach out as soon as a seat opens up!
Agents are increasingly part of how software gets built, with developments going so fast that it’s hard to keep up how to get the best use out of them to do real engineering.
This meetup brings together three engineers who will demo their day-to-day agent workflows. Each talk is about 20 minutes and is centered around a demo, with context and design decisions explained along the way.
Bootstrapping agentic systems - Fabian Jakobs (Databricks)
Fabian opens by introducing the core ideas behind agentic engineering and how he applies them in practice.
Safer systems with the help of Claude - Bouke van der Bijl (Monumental)
Bouke dives into a safety problem he was able to solve because of helpful agents.
A loveletter to pi - Lucas Meijer (Ex-Unity)
Using pi to create custom ai workflows for your project, and getting good at context management.
Schedule
18:00: Walk-in & drinks
18:30: Talks (3 x 20 mins)
Post-talks: Hang out, exchange tips, and 2x your productivity.
We’ll provide the drinks (non-alcoholic too) and some fancy falafel to keep the vibes high. See you there!
Who should attend?
Engineers, founders, CTOs - anyone using agentic coding to do engineering
About the host
Monumental builds autonomous robots that construct buildings. We're already laying bricks on family homes, canal walls and industrial buildings across the Netherlands!
