About Event

We’re excited to invite you to our next PyLadies Spring Meetup — and this one is going to be extra special 💜

This time, we won’t have just one speaker… but three! Each brings a completely different perspective and topic — from AI in infrastructure, to Agile Development, to event-driven systems in Python. We wanted to create a diverse program so that developers at different levels and from different backgrounds can all find something inspiring and valuable.

📍 Location: Helicon Technologies
Garvargatan 9C, Kungsholmen (We had a fantastic time at Helicon last year discussing API development with Django Ninja, and we’re excited to be back in their cosy office space)

Speakers:

🔬 Prim Pasuwan, PhD

Former CERN physicist, Product Owner at Savantic AI Lab Prim will explore real-world applications of AI in the energy and water sectors. How is AI reshaping infrastructure? What does this mean for sustainability and innovation? Expect practical examples and big-picture thinking.

⚙️ Christine Winter

Scrum Master & Data Engineer at Ving Sverige “Is Agile Still the Way We Develop in the Age of Vibe Coding?” AI is transforming how we build software. If code can be generated instantly, do we still need agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban? Christine will provide a background on agile methodologies and challenge us to rethink how development practices evolve in the era of AI-assisted coding.

🐍 Anastasia Potekhina

PyLadies Stockholm Co-organiser, Backend Developer at Helicon “Building an Event-Driven Alarm System in Python” Anastasia will dive into event-driven architecture using Python and Celery, walking through a real-world example of a mini alarm system. How does a sensor trigger an alarm? How do events flow through the system? What are the pros and cons of building event-based systems? You’ll see how such a system can be built on a small scale — even on your own machine.

☕ What to Expect
