About Event

72 hours. Real challenges. Solutions that could become a shield for Lithuania’s airspace.

Flaming Shield 2026 invites programmers, engineers, analysts, UX designers, students, and everyone committed to a safer Lithuania to come together in Kaunas and develop technologies related to airspace monitoring, protection, and defence.

You’ll work alongside mentors and defence sector experts, while the programme will also feature Tech Demo Day (has a separate registration).

The prize pool exceeds €15,000, and the best ideas will have the opportunity to continue developing beyond the event.

The hackathon will take place on 10–11 October 2026 and is organised by the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union, Tech-Park Kaunas, and partners, with Omnisend and Lithuanian Defence and Security Industry Association (LDSIA) as the strategic partners.
