Workshop Title: AI and Apple Intelligence in Higher Education
This workshop provides an overview of Apple’s approach to AI and Apple Intelligence, with a focus on AI-enhanced workflows for faculty, staff, and students across the Apple platform, including new options for accessibility.
Part 1 explores how Apple Silicon enables AI models to run locally on iPhone, iPad, and Mac – without sending data to the cloud. Part 2 covers updates to Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, which are built on a unique architecture spanning on-device and cloud processing to ensure privacy and security.
Participants will leave with examples in a higher education context and practical suggestions for developing their AI skillset.
