Flourishing: A Garden in Bloom
What happens when human connection becomes the medium for art?
A garden does not bloom alone - it needs soil, sun, rain, roots, the pollinator moving between bodies.
Flourishing is something we do together.
Flourish is a chaosmos experience - a collective evening of contact improvisation, embodiment, and collaborative art-making. Created by Chao Dou and Vincent Hardy, it moves through three chapters, each one deepening what came before.
Roots - Embodied Connection. We begin in the body. Through grounding, movement, and contact improvisation, we find our way into listening, weight-sharing, and collective presence. Together we become a living ecosystem - seeds, roots, vines, winds - discovering what it means to grow in a relationship.
Bloom - Collective Canvas. From movement, we move into making. The canvas receives what the body carries - texture, emotion, color, form. What emerged between us becomes visible. The art is the record of the room.
Flourish - Return. The final chapter brings us back into movement, now informed by what we created together. The paintings become a new score. The body responds. The cycle completes.
Body into art. Art back into the body.
What to Expect:

Doors close at 6:15pm. Light snacks and drinks provided.
No dance or art experience needed. Come as you are in comfortable clothes, curiosity and a willingness to play.
Chao Dou is an experience architect, embodiment activator and artist, whose practice chaosmos creates playgrounds for rediscovering your body, creativity, and capacity for connection.
Guided by the belief that knowledge is only a rumor until it lives in the body, she designs multisensory experiences that blend movement, intuition, art, and collective play – bridging the thinking mind and the sensing body to help people remember that the most powerful form of world-building starts with showing up fully as yourself.
Vincent Hardy, also known as Sonseeker, is an embodiment facilitator, choreographer, and educator based in Dallas, Texas. As Artistic Director of Zion Dance Project and founder of Restore Soma, his work integrates contemporary dance, contact improvisation, somatic movement, and nervous system-informed practice into experiences that are as accessible as they are transformative.
Drawing from over two decades of training and performance, he creates spaces where people reconnect with their bodies and unlock greater freedom, presence, and creative range.
