Lab Visit at AXX Biotech and Symplexia

​Join us for a lab visit at AXX Biotech and Symplexia, created for students at Karolinska Institutet who want a closer look at how biotech research becomes real-world innovation. During the visit, you will step inside the companies’ setting in Solna, hear directly from the people leading the work, and get a clearer sense of what a career in this field can look like.

​A central part of the evening is the chance to meet the female CEOs of both companies. They will share their personal career journeys, the decisions and challenges that shaped them, and their perspectives on leadership in science and industry. If you are curious about how to move from academic training into biotech, this is a valuable opportunity to hear honest reflections from women who have done exactly that.

​You will also get an introduction to the science behind each company. AXX Biotech works on next-generation antibody therapeutics, with a focus on improving precision in treatments such as bispecific antibodies and CAR-T cell therapies. Symplexia works with vaccine design, drawing on deep immunological understanding to develop stronger and longer-lasting protection against infectious diseases.
