EA Chicago - Lightning Talks - Tuesday Feb 17
We often stumble across fascinating ideas in articles, podcasts, or late-night research sessions, but rarely get the chance to share those insights with friends. Let’s change that!
Join us for Lightning Talks, a relaxed evening where we share "high-signal" ideas we’ve encountered recently. The goal isn’t to give a formal presentation—it’s to share one or two "aha!" moments that you think the community would find valuable (but participation not mandatory, feel free to just come and listen!)
How it works:
Pick Your Topic: Anything that made you think! It could be a non-fiction book, a long-form essay, a podcast episode, or a new EA-related framework. If it’s interesting to you, it’s fair game.
The Lowdown: You get 3–5 minutes to give us the "TL;DR"—what’s the core idea, and why does it matter? We’ll have a few minutes for quick questions or reactions after each talk.
The Hangout: We’ll keep the conversation going over some vegan food and drinks.
No pressure to be an expert! Whether you’ve spent years studying a topic or just spent twenty minutes on a Wikipedia deep-dive this morning, we'll take it! If you just want to come and listen, that's totally cool too! Doors Open at 6 but likely won't start the talks until 7!
