Dumpling Making for SNAP Recipients

​The federal government is currently shutdown, which means many of our fellow New Yorkers are currently experiencing food insecurity due to delayed SNAP benefits. In the richest country and city in the world, this is unacceptable. Though the federal government recently agreed to funding SNAP during the shutdown, SNAP recipients are still facing food insecurity even with the funding.

​This event is meant to bring together folks to help ease this pain by making dumplings, which will be distributed to SNAP recipients, mutual aid groups, and local community fridges!

​We’ll be making both pork & chive and vegan dumplings (using impossible meat).

​All ingredients and equipment will be provided. Just come ready to wrap some dumps!
