THE FLOOR is an artist-led coliving residency and experimental project space based in Berlin. Founded by artist Shona Neary (also known as Shona / Sketchy Shona), THE FLOOR operates as a shared living environment, salon, and platform for countercultural and interdisciplinary artistic practices.
This speakeasy mini art fair is designed specifically for beginner art collectors — people interested in starting a collection through direct, informal encounters with artists. Works presented at the event are intentionally accessible, with prices up to €50, making it an entry point for first-time buyers rather than a traditional art fair audience.
Resident and invited artists will present small works, editions, objects, and experimental pieces within the domestic setting of THE FLOOR. The focus is on conversation, trust, and learning how to collect art outside of institutional or high-market contexts.
Shona Neary is an artist, founder, and cultural organizer based in Berlin. Working under the name SHO NA / Sketchy Shona, their practice explores countercultural systems, informal knowledge exchange, and experimental modes of collective living. She is also the founder of *Countercult Creatives and Experiment Residency, making THE FLOOR part of a broader constellation of projects that support emerging artists, collaborative practices, and new modes of art-making.
This speakeasy mini art fair positions collecting as a social and educational experience — grounded in proximity, affordability, and direct exchange between artists and collectors. Attendance is intentionally limited to maintain an intimate, conversational setting, welcoming first-time or emerging collectors interested in acquiring their first artworks.
