Whether you're someone who's been away but still holds strong passion for the culture of your home country, or someone who's genuinely curious in Chines culture but don't know where to start, we would love to invite you to an intimate tea gathering with Edward, while meeting some peers! To taste, connect, and discover the journey behind the leaf that carries the culture beyond just the leaf itself.

个人简介:
Edward Qu是一位茶艺师和酿酒师,以在茶文化与葡萄酒酿造领域的教育工作而闻名。
在尼亚加拉学院教学酒庄,他负责管理酿酒实验室和酿酒项目,教授葡萄园管理课程,并协助感官评估、葡萄酒化学及实验分析等多门课程的教学。与此同时,他主导多宾庄园的品牌战略与业务发展,并正在攻读WSET四级文凭。
Edward对葡萄酒的热爱,源于他对茶的深厚情感。他拥有中国高级茶艺师和中国高级评茶员的殊荣,这些头衔源于他多年在中国、斯里兰卡和尼泊尔的实地探索与积累。自2017年移居加拿大以来,他已成为茶文化教育领域的重要声音,曾主导皇家植物园、布鲁克大学、尼亚加拉学院以及多伦多和伦敦茶文化节的多场活动。
通过创办的@SIMILAR.MINDS.TASTING平台,Edward策划感官主导的品鉴体验,探索茶与酒之间独特而交织的风味世界。他还带领小型茶文化深度之旅,借助其人脉与洞察,提供一窥中国丰富茶文化的难得机会。
Edward Bio:
Edward Qu is a tea sommelier and oenologist, known for his work as an educator in both tea culture and wine production.
At Niagara College Teaching Winery, he manages the winery lab and winemaking projects, teaches Vineyard Management, and supports a range of courses including sensory evaluation, wine chemistry, and lab analysis. Concurrently, he leads brand strategy and growth at Dobbin Estate while pursuing his WSET Diploma.
Edward’s journey into wine began with a deep-rooted passion for tea. He holds the prestigious designations of Advanced Sommelier of Chinese Tea and Advanced Tea Critic in China — titles earned through years of hands-on exploration across China, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Since relocating to Canada in 2017, Edward has become a leading voice in tea education, guiding events at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Brock University, Niagara College, and the Toronto and London Tea Festivals.
Through @SIMILAR.MINDS.TASTING, Edward bridges the worlds of tea and wine by curating sensory-driven experiences that explore their distinct and overlapping qualities. He also leads intimate tea tours in China, offering rare access to the country’s rich tea culture through his deep connections and personal insight.
