About Event

An XXL community gathering of The Offline Club Paris

More than 800 people. One shared moment. One collective wish.

⚠️ Important update — change of location

Due to recent weather conditions and instructions from the Préfecture de Police, we are unfortunately no longer allowed to gather on Passerelle Debilly.

👉 The event will now take place at Les Allées du Trocadéro: Avenue Gustave V de Suède (still facing the Eiffel Tower).

On January 11, The Offline Club Paris invites you to take part in a one-of-a-kind gathering at the foot of the Eiffel Tower: a world record attempt for the largest group of people making a wish together, fully offline.

Not to take photos.
Not to scroll.
But to pause, focus, and share a meaningful moment together.

Why this moment matters

This gathering takes place on the final day of The Offline Club’s Global 24-Hour Digital Detox Challenge, when thousands of people around the world are spending a full day offline.

This is our Paris, in-real-life moment, a way to come together and celebrate the last hours of the challenge, side by side, before going back to our evenings offline.

A reminder that unplugging isn’t about disconnecting from life, but about reconnecting with it.

Why this is an event of The Offline Club Paris

At The Offline Club, we create spaces to:
📵 step away from our phones
🤍 spend intentional time with ourselves
🤝 connect easily with like-minded people

This XXL gathering brings all three pillars together — in one simple, collective ritual.

What will happen

As the sky darkens and the city slows down, we’ll gather at Les Allées du Trocadéro (Avenue Gustave V de Suède), facing the Eiffel Tower.

We’ll begin with a short welcome moment where we’ll switch our phones off together — guided and collective — so everyone starts on the same page, fully present.

Then, a few quiet minutes.
Time to slow down, disconnect from the noise, and focus on one personal wish for 2026.

At 18:00, when the Eiffel Tower lights begin to twinkle, we’ll all make that wish at the same time — one shared moment of attention.

Right after, everyone will be invited to open a small envelope received on arrival, with a few offline prompts inside. A simple ritual designed to help you reflect, set intention, and open space for connection with others, if you feel like it.

Because connection, after all, is why our community exists.

The program

🕠 17:30 | Gathering at Les Allées du Trocadéro (Avenue Gustave V de Suède)
🗣 17:50 | Welcome, collective phone-off & silent me-time
18:00 | Eiffel Tower twinkle & collective wish
✉️ After | Open your envelope & connect
End around 18:15–18:30

Good to know

• It’s January, please dress warmly
• The experience is short by design, just long enough to warm hearts, not freeze toes

• The event will take place even with a little rain.
• In case of cancellation due to bad weather, you’ll receive an email at least 3 hours before the event. 🤞
• Phones stay switched off for the whole gathering
• This is a free, open, inclusive community event

Why a world record attempt?

Because moments of collective attention are rare and choosing to be fully present together still matters.

Let’s count how many of us can make this afternoon unforgettable. (Yes, please share with your friends and... enemies!)

On this afternoon, in front of the Eiffel Tower, we won’t just make a wish, we’ll write a small piece of history together, offline.

Offline hugs,
Stefania
