During this Model Movement Workshop, participants will explore how movement expands and elevates their work in front of the camera. Together, we’ll investigate how physical awareness, especially the in-between moments of movement can generate a wider range of dynamic, editorial-ready material. We’ll also discuss the Chicago modeling industry: what to expect on commercial and editorial sets, how to navigate on-set dynamics, and how to bring professionalism and creative agency into the room. This class is an opportunity to practice moving in front of the camera through a fresh lens, with real-time guidance and feedback. Our goal is for you to build and refine your modeling toolbox and rolodex, leaving with new movement strategies, expanded posing vocabulary, and greater embodiment on set.

Guided and hands-on movement practice to amplify your practice
Dynamic posing prompts to use on future projects
Industry insight and practical on-set knowledge. We’ll teach you about the Midwest and national modeling industry and what to expect for bookings in each major city.
An expanded creative network
Each participant will also work with stylist Casscellina who will tailor individual looks for each participant to wear in their portrait session. Styling becomes part of the creative investigation, helping you explore character, silhouette, and mood while understanding how wardrobe informs movement and image-making.
