INVESTING IN TECH & MEDTECH
Innovation. Impact. Returns.
How does investing in Tech and MedTech actually work — and what happens to your money after you commit?
Following requests from people who couldn't join our first investor conversation, we are hosting a new Live Investor Session on 14 October, 20:00–21:00 CET.
This time, we will take a very practical investor perspective.
Using a real-world VC fund perspective and a fictitious investor case, we will follow the investment journey from start to finish: company selection and due diligence → capital calls → portfolio building → risk → exits → distributions → returns.
We will also zoom in on MedTech and Women’s Health as examples of where healthcare needs, technology, innovation and capital come together.
We’ll explore questions such as: How are companies selected for investment? What does due diligence really look like? When you make a fund commitment, when is your capital actually required? What happens when some portfolio companies fail? How and when does money come back after an exit? What does a target return on investment actually mean? And how does VC investing compare with more familiar asset classes such as real estate or public equities?
With perspectives from Carmen van Vilsteren on MedTech innovation and investing, Claire Tange / Borski Fund on venture capital and fund mechanics, and Wioletta Medalion on partnerships, ecosystems and the questions many new VC investors have.
Questions can be submitted throughout the session, followed by a live Q&A.
For investors, entrepreneurs and professionals curious about investing beyond traditional asset classes — and who want to better understand Tech & MedTech investing before deciding whether it has a place in their investment portfolio.
Limited live session — registration required.
