HARD RESET x ICEout.tech PRESENT: CLIMBING NIGHT @ CRUX

​Need a break from SXSW chaos? Do you want to keep both Austin and tech weird? Are you a founder, engineer, or designer who is tired of building for the broligarchy? 

​If the answer to any of these three is ‘yes,’ join HARD RESET MEDIA x ICEout.tech for a night of rock climbing and drinks on FRIDAY 3/13 from 5:30-8:30 PM. We’ll kick off with a (coached!) climbing session at Crux Climbing Center Central, and follow it up with chats and beers from the Brewtorium next door (first round’s on us!). 

​This isn’t your normal networking meet-up. As ICE continues to expand across Texas, the local tech industry has a more pivotal role to play than ever in demanding that our cities stay free of federal agents who want to criminalize us, our neighbors, friends, colleagues, and family members.

Pressure from within the tech industry makes a difference. When Trump threatened to send the National Guard to San Francisco in October, tech industry leaders called the White House. And it worked—Trump backed down.

So, when we all meet in Austin, we’ll climb, grab a pint, and chat about our answer to the question: as tech people, what can we do?

​ICEout.tech is a pledge by a coalition of tech people at all levels of the industry, urging their CEOs to demand that ICE leave our cities. The letter currently has more than 2K signatories, and is only gaining momentum!
