🍁__________________________________

Come discover the Castanyada with Speak Catalan! An evening to learn more about this Catalan tradition, laugh, taste local treats, and, along the way, practice Catalan with everyone who signs up for the session. 😊

We’ll talk about the tradition of this date that is so uniquely ours: roasted chestnuts (castanyes), panellets, sweet potatoes (moniatos), sweet wine, and that story of the Castanyera (chestnut seller) that will either sound familiar from hearing it your whole life (or that you'll discover for the very first time, which is just as valid). 🍠

There will be fun icebreaker activities so that no one is left sitting in the corner with their chestnut. Everything will be in Catalan, but don't worry, you don't need to speak it perfectly. Whether you're a beginner who only knows how to say "bon dia" or you already get by quite well, here we'll help you make yourself understood and have a wonderful time. You'll stop celebrating Halloween all by yourself! 🎃

See you at Theodora Extra, on Carrer de Zamora, on October 30th. Bring your eagerness to chat in Catalan and learn more about this magical tradition. 🍁
