dltHub ❤️ Marimo ❤️ MotherDuck
dltHub and Marimo and MotherDuck are having a child.
What are looking at?
dltHub provides the ELT, runtime, and execution layer, turning production data workflows into something any Python developer can deploy and run with a single command.
marimo is an open-source reactive notebook for Python. Unlike Jupyter notebooks, marimo notebooks are reproducible (no hidden state), Git-friendly (stored as pure Python), executable as Python scripts, and shareable as web apps. It provides the interactive workspace experience.
MotherDuck is the hypertenancy data warehouse, scaling sub-second analytics on massive datasets using the DuckDB SQL engine. It combines independently scaled compute with DuckDB's speed and simplicity, giving data teams and app developers fast, user-friendly analytics without the overhead of distributed systems.
Together, they point toward a simpler, interoperable model for building data platforms.
For example? If provisioning storage, databases, and credentials was a single click, would you dig it and start working with the data, or would you still want to stitch together high impedance tooling? What if pipelines, transformations, notebooks, and insights all lived in one coherent end to end workflow?
This afternoon brings together the builders behind these tools and early users to explore how this ecosystem can work in practice - through live demos, early impressions, and forward-looking discussions.
