[In-person · Selected teams] Startup 815 IR Round 3
Short description:
Pitch your startup to Korean TIPS operators and global VCs! Startup 815 IR is a stage-matched investor pitching session for the KSGC program participants.
Event details:
Looking for investment to grow your business in Korea? Startup 815 IR connects promising global startups with investors who are actively looking for their next deal.
Each session is organized by an investment stage, so you pitch to investors who invest in companies relative to your stage. It is a great opportunity to network with potential investors and form connections, and further obtain investment in Korea as well as potential CVC meetings.
Who we partner with:
TIPS is a Korean government-backed program in which selected investors fund and mentor early-stage tech startups.
For Pre-A to Series A sessions, we work with TIPS and global VCs to accelerate your business to the next level.
How it works:
Screening: We review applicants and select startups for each session.
Pitching: Selected startups pitch to investors at the session. This will be 7 minutes of IR pitching in English and 13 minutes of Q&A. A strict timeframe will be maintained.
Investment review: Interested investors follow up for a closer look. 8 people who are specialized in investing will be reviewing your pitch, those including VCs that can lead Series A companies, CVCs, overseas VC companies based in Korea.
Investment: Investors invest directly or indirectly. After the review, if investors are willing to look further into investing, you will have a 1 on 1 meeting with them for 15 minutes, within 2 weeks of the pitching, to discuss potential investment. In terms of CVCs, during meetings it would be encouraged to work together as a business. The connections with potential investors for further meetings will be based on the outcomes of the Phase 2 business matching program.
Important details:
This is a selection based program, so not all KSGC companies can participate in this event. Thus, this will NOT count towards your attendance. Up to 8 companies are selected, and we will notify the selected companies individually. This program is focused on companies between the stages of Pre A to Series A.
Success story:
Marina Chain, a 2023 KSGC alumni company, raised KRW 200 million in seed investment from CNTTech, a partner of the Gyeonggi Center, and later closed a KRW 300 million investment from Innox (July 2024).
Who can apply:
2026 K-Startup Grand Challenge Phase 2 companies and KSGC alumni within the past 3 years looking for investment.
