About Event

Almost every VC uses AI. Very few can name a job an agent now does for them from start to finish.

This session is about closing that gap.

Yohei Nakajima created BabyAGI, the open-source project that helped kick off the autonomous agent movement, and builds agents for his own investing at Untapped VC. Lindel Eakman has backed emerging managers for more than 20 years, from UTIMCO to Foundry to Eden Road Capital. As an LP, he sees how firms actually operate behind the pitch deck. Scarlett Pierce leads product marketing for Carta's investor products, including its AI plugins for fund managers. Joining Carta via the CapDesk acquisition, she acts as the company's product spokesperson and is a product-led growth expert.

One of them builds the agents. One judges the firms using them. One helps firms connect to them for maximum value. Together they'll get specific about how agents are changing the way VCs source, diligence, and compete.

You'll walk away knowing:

  • Which VC workflows agents can own today, and which still need a human

  • How Yohei uses agents in his own investing process

  • What LPs think when a GP talks up an "AI edge," and what actually earns credibility

  • Where agents break down, especially when they touch fund and portfolio data

  • How to connect agents to the systems your firm already runs, with a short live look at how Carta plugs into your own agent workflow

Panelists:

Yohei Nakajima - General Partner at Untapped VC and creator of BabyAGI, one of the earliest open-source autonomous agent projects. Yohei has shipped 130+ public projects, including ActiveGraph, a runtime for auditable, long-running agents.

Lindel Eakman - Founder of Eden Road Capital. Lindel previously built the venture program at UTIMCO and was a partner at Foundry, where he created the Foundry Next family of funds. He was an early backer of firms including Union Square Ventures, True Ventures, IA Ventures, and Foundry.

Scarlett Pierce - Senior Manager, Product Marketing at Carta. Prior to joining Carta, Scarlett served as Head of Content & Communications at Capdesk (acquired by Carta) and Content Strategy Director at Quill (acquired by Jellyfish).

Your cap table, fund admin, and portfolio data is already in Carta. During this session, we'll show you how to put your data to work with Carta's plugins so your team can get real answers about your fund, run waterfalls, pull LP reporting, and model scenarios without switching tools or building anything from scratch.
