Permaculture For A Complex World
As a holistic system of design that links together various fields such as agriculture, architecture, economy and social organisation, permaculture is well-positioned to engage with the VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) we are living through. However, many people unfamiliar with permaculture think it’s just about growing food.
Eller Everett of Think Differently and Alfred Decker of Permaculture Barcelona Hub are both Barcelona-based Permaculture designers and educators who believe in the potential of permaculture to deal effectively with complexity in a rapidly changing world. In this session they share their ideas about rethinking and evolving it beyond its origins four decades ago.
We are also honoured to be joined online by Andy Goldring, CEO of the Permaculture Association of Britain, to share his vision of the future of permaculture.
Perhaps the best description of permaculture is “a revolution disguised as organic gardening.” Come and find out more through insights shared by Eller, Alfred and Andy followed by an interactive conversation.

🍆 Roasted Eggplant & Lentil Stew - slow-cooked in a rich tomato sauce and served over rice.
OR
🥒 Smoky & Tangy Roasted Zucchini & Lentils - tossed in a garlicky mint-yogurt sauce and served over rice.
Both are topped with fried nuts & pomegranate, & with your choice of homemade side: labneh OR hummus with pita bread.
Don’t forget the complimentary drink! To start or end your meal, enjoy a refreshing rose-mint sharbat with your ticket purchase!
If you’d like to take a little piece of Lebanon home with you, you can grab an extra container of homemade hummus and/or labneh sold separately. 🤗
If you would like to join us over some good food, the dinner cost is 20€. To express interest in joining for dinner, please purchase the Standard + Dinner Deposit ticket - 5€ of your purchase will go towards your dinner, and the remaining 15€ is to be paid in-person at the event, in cash (preferred) or Bizum. Note that the price includes a plate of (delicious and generous!) main + side + drink. If you have a nut intolerance, please advise Eldora on arrival.
Doors open at 18h, and the presentations start at 18:30h, followed by communal dinner at 20:30h.
