About the session
Whether you’re an activist, educator, community builder or simply someone who believes in the power of collective imagination, this workshop invites you to explore how stories, when intentionally woven together, can become the threads that move entire systems.
By the end of the session, participants will leave with frameworks, tools, and a creative brief to design campaigns that build belonging and spark enduring movements for change.
We’ll explore how to move from isolated narratives to ecosystems of change. We'll discuss how to craft stories that not only inspire empathy, but also shift the conditions that hold systems in place. We’ll reflect on what it means to use storytelling to shape public discourse, to reimagine what’s possible, and to invite others into a shared vision for the future.

About the speaker
Shafat has been part of the team at Ashoka for the past 6 years based in London where he stewards a thriving network of leading social entrepreneurs, young changemakers, business leaders, donors, supporters, and partner organisations.
He led his own sustainable clothing brand and is extremely passionate about human rights within supply chains. Shafat grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia
