17.35 - 17.55 "Bringing Real-World Data On-Chain" by Amirreza Sarencheh — Co-Founder & CEO at Tokenive
Web3 has a fundamental data problem: blockchains are trustless by design, yet the moment a protocol needs to know something real about its users (identity, income, address, financial standing) the industry falls back on PDFs, scans, and human reviewers. That contradiction is the ceiling on Web3's growth. This talk makes the case that Web3 cannot reach its potential without a cryptographic bridge to Web2 data. Tokenive is that bridge: pulling data directly from authoritative sources (banks, government portals, payroll providers), generating verifiable credentials on-device, and making them machine-verifiable on-chain in seconds. No documents. No intermediaries. No trust assumptions. The result is a privacy-preserving, forgery-proof data layer that lets users carry provable, real-world facts about themselves into Web3, unlocking compliant DeFi, on-chain KYC, zkKYC, and truly self-sovereign identity at scale
