​​MV Splicers, we love you. Here is your chance to show the world you are the best of the best.

​​Agenda

​March 2rd

​​6 pm - 8 pm - Opening ceremony and introductions. Meet everyone in a relaxed environment. Network and enjoy some good company.

​March 3th

​​8am - 9am - Breakfast

​​9 am - 2 pm - PRODUCT SHOW - Manufacturers will display their latest innovations and products in the Medium Voltage portfolio. Learn from companies in the space! Previous year sponsors include companies like; Southwire, Pfisterer, Burndy, Quazite, TE Connectivity, Nexans, Richards.

​​9 am - 2 pm - SPLICER COMPETITION - Splicers test loop installation. 20 Of the best splicers in the country will compete for some cash prices and also for the honor of taking home the 133 tool belt.

​​COMPETITION DETAILS

​​Each team consists of 2 splicers. 10 Teams will compete for a chance to win.

​​6 teams have been hand-picked from some of the best splicers we know. 6 Teams are yet to be picked. Apply to enter your team by clicking "Apply to Join". Enter your company email so we know who you work for.

​​Cash prices

​​First Place - $1,750

​​Second Place - $1,330

​​Third Place - $1,000

​​Rules to participate:

  • ​​15+ years MV splicer experience.

  • ​​You and your partner must be from the same company.

  • ​​You must bring your own tools. All tools are allowed.

  • ​​Travel and accommodation to the event will be sponsored by Elektrik App Inc.

  • ​​You must be able to arrive at SLC UT on March 1st or morning of March 2rd and leave no sooner than March 3rd or 4th pm from SLC UT.

  • ​​Winners will be judged by a group of MV experts, following a point system criteria, which will be shared with participants ahead of the competition. We will look for craftsmanship, splice/termination testing performance, timely work, and other criteria.
