Leadership Breakfast: How Secure is the UK’s Food Supply Chain?
A Private Leadership Breakfast for Senior Industry Leaders
This year's impacts on agriculture and food production show how quickly climate-related disruption can affect supply chains, operations and business performance.
Yet the greatest risks often sit beyond direct operations, hidden away from view within supplier networks, logistics, and concentrated sourcing regions.
For senior leaders, the challenge is no longer whether climate risk will affect supply chains, but whether organisations have the visibility needed to anticipate and adapt around disruption before it happens.
This invitation-only breakfast will bring together a select group of senior leaders for an open and honest discussion about what resilience looks like in practice and how organisations can better prepare for an uncertain future.
What to Expect
This is a working breakfast, a facilitated peer-to-peer discussion where every participant is encouraged to share their experience, insights, and questions.
Attendance is intentionally limited to 20 senior leaders to maintain conversation quality and enable meaningful interaction among participants.
About the Discussion
Hosted by Smart Resilience and moderated by Jonathan Horrell, this conversation will explore:
What recent food system disruption can teach us about wider business resilience
How climate risks are creating vulnerabilities across supply chains and operations
Where organisations have the greatest visibility gaps today
The challenge of managing risk beyond direct operations
How businesses are adapting to increasing uncertainty
Opportunities for collaboration, resilience and long-term planning
The discussion will draw upon findings from the forthcoming Smart Resilience Climate Exposure Index, which examines climate-related risk across thousands of supplier locations worldwide.
