Research Briefs Workshop Co-Hosted by the Stanford Ocean Sci-Pol Initiative and Stanford Sci-Pol Group

​Please join the Stanford Ocean Science-Policy Initiative and the Stanford Science-Policy Group for a two-day lunch workshop series (1–2 hours per day) on creating research briefs to communicate your key findings to policymakers, planners, journalists, communities, and other audiences. This workshop will be led by experts from the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment.

​This two-part workshop will take place on May 27 (12–1 PM) and June 1 (12–2 PM). In the first session, participants will learn the fundamentals of writing effective research briefs, and in the second session, participants will receive feedback on their draft research briefs. By signing up for Day 1 of the workshop, participants will automatically be registered for Day 2.

​Lunch will be provided for all in-person participants. Virtual participation will also be available, and a Zoom link will be shared closer to the event.

​Please bring your laptop. Participants are welcome to bring any research project they would like to work on. Whether or not you already have research ready to turn into a research brief, you are welcome to join and learn!
