BeatLab Seattle
Drop in, plug in, and make beats at BeatLab, a hands-on electronic music jam session in the Cathy Hillenbrand Community Room in Capitol Hill, Seattle.
Whether you're new to electronic music making and are curious to learn more or you already have a full collection of gear, this is a relaxed space to experiment, build loops, swap ideas, and hear what other people are creating. Expect a room full of hardware instruments such as synths, drum machines, samplers, and more, all ready to play.
No experience is needed, and there is no pressure to perform or finish anything polished. Come by for a quick session or settle in and get lost in the groove.
Instruments will be provided, and you are welcome to bring your own gear too, just mention it when you RSVP so there is room for everything. Wired headphones are a great idea, and if you have vinyl or CDs you want to sample, bring those along as well. The space is near Capitol Hill Station and close to Cal Anderson Park.
BeatLab is free to attend, with donations welcome if you want to help keep the gear rolling in.
