​This session's theme is Humans and Agents in the Same Room. Most tools keep AI agents as sidekicks or chatbots outside the main workflow. We’re exploring what changes when humans and AI agents truly share the same workspace – with equal ability to act, participate, and create an audit trail you can trust. In this hands-on session you’ll try out open-source tools where agents join your rooms, take on real tasks like incident memory, bug triage, or helping draft a release, and see if having everyone, human or AI, in one place finally makes teams faster and knowledge easier to track.

​Steel City AI is a hands-on community for people who want to build with AI, not just talk about it. We're data scientist, developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and curious minds from across Sheffield who come together to explore what AI can actually do in the real world.

​Each month, we host practical, in-person sessions where you'll tackle real challenges, test tools like ChatGPT, Claude Code, hermes, and CrewAI, and leave with something that actually works, not just ideas.

​No pitches. No long talks. Just builds, demos, and takeaways.
