​Join Shelley Kuipers and a small circle of women investors, creators and leaders for a different kind of gathering this summer on the beautiful west coast of Canada. Hosted by acclaimed artist Laura Harris at her oceanfront home studio on Vancouver Island, this intimate retreat invites you into a space where creativity, conversation and fresh thinking unfold naturally.

​Just across from the ocean, we’ll gather in Laura’s light-filled studio and garden, getting our feet in the grass, throwing a little paint on canvas and sharing exceptional chef-prepared meals. Between studio sessions and relaxed evenings around the table, conversations will flow easily — about investing, ideas, leadership and the many ways women are shaping the future.

​Painting may seem far removed from the world of markets and capital, yet the process shares something surprisingly important with investing: both ask us to make thoughtful decisions without having the full picture. Through a series of guided creative exercises, we’ll strengthen many of the same muscles great investors rely on — instinct, decision-making under uncertainty, adaptability and curiosity. In the studio, as in the markets, we learn to trust our judgment, respond to changing conditions and remain open to unexpected opportunities.

​During the retreat, guests will also gather for an exclusive investment session with Leah Bennett, Chief Investment Strategist at Concurrent Investment Advisors and President of Elevate Family Partners. With more than 30 years advising high-net-worth families and institutions, Leah has held senior leadership roles across the wealth management industry, shaping investment strategy and portfolio decisions for clients around the world. Her session will offer a thoughtful opportunity to explore ideas and insights specifically for this group.

​Over three immersive days, guests will enjoy hands-on creative sessions with Laura alongside thoughtfully curated gatherings — from The Evening Collective cocktail reception to The Investor’s Table dinner — designed to spark meaningful conversation and connection.

​With morning yoga, curated meals and luxury accommodations at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, this intimate retreat is limited to just 13 participants, offering a rare opportunity to slow down, connect with like-minded women and explore the creativity, intuition and clarity that often guide our boldest ideas and investments.
