We are inviting EVERYONE to come to the capitol in Sacramento on Tuesday, June 30th at 8:30am for the hearing. 1021 O Street (Swing Space), Room 2200, Sacramento, CA.

The hearing is determined when the Assembly Member Bauer - Kahan, author of this bill arrives. There are going to be a lot since this is the last hearing before the summer break. It could be called early or late in the evening. Anything goes!

At the last hearing there were over 50 and now we're going to double that with your help. Even if you're not in town, put out the call. You never know who might be up to come out or who is in town. Folks are flying in from all over for this one!

What to expect: It would be a fluke if this bill got shot down on Tuesday. We are expecting a vote along party lines. But don't worry! The bill as it is, is completely inert. It has no teeth any longer and that's because of YOU and your voices. When it hits appropriations, this will be a factor and then onward to floor voting in August.

This is part of the process, and by showing up on Tuesday we get to kick off the National fight. We are using California as the kick off for this for the rest of the country and world.

Many politicians have talked about this in many places, we need to get ahead of the story and educate and inform. Use this as the ultimate teaching moment.

If you're showing up to voice opposition, you will be up after key testimony. State your name, where you're from and your position. It's not a chance to have a conversation. Have a few choice words and set it up nicely for the person after you. This is where we get to shine and show them who this really affects!
