About Event

Each student will receive a real owl pellet and carefully explore what an owl has eaten by gently separating and identifying the tiny bones inside.

As we work, students will learn about food chains, predator and prey relationships, and how owls play an important role in the ecosystem. Using identification charts, we’ll piece together the story of the owl’s meal and discover just how fascinating nature can be!

All supplies are provided.

Please note that students will be handling real animal remains (cleaned and sanitized owl pellets), so this workshop may not be suitable for those who are sensitive or squeamish.

Intended Age: 7–12 & Families

Taught by Chelsea Satterfield, a homeschooling mom of two boys who loves spending time in nature, getting lost in a good book, and learning right alongside her children. She is drawn to simple rhythms, rich ideas, and the beauty of family life.
