Winter Neighborhood Ingathering [public]
Winter Ingathering: A Ritual of Renewal
As winter gives way to spring, join us for an afternoon of reflection, connection, and renewal.
Just as seeds germinate beneath the soil during our rainy season, preparing to sprout into new life, this ritual invites us to honor what has shaped us and clarify who we're becoming. We'll gather at the threshold between seasons—between the roots we've grown and the lives we're choosing to grow into as spring approaches.
Through guided journaling, small group sharing (or solo options), and rituals with symbolic seeds and soil and water, we'll explore: What truly matters to me? What do I want to carry forward from my roots? Who am I becoming as new life begins to emerge around me?
All are welcome, just make sure to register :)
What we'll do:
Form small groups OR reflect solo
Opening and setting the space with breath and poetry
Core ritual:
Claiming the soil of what makes us who we are and nourishes us
Planting a seed of an intention or value for who we choose to be
Pouring the water of community to bless those around us with our gifts
Closing with breath and poetry
What to bring:
Something to write on/with
An open heart
This event will be co-facilitated with the support of our first recently graduated Neighborhood Flamekeeper Cohort (https://www.sfcontemplarium.org/fkcohort), a group that supports friends and neighbors through emotional support and human connection.
Presented by the San Francisco Contemplarium, a neighborhood institution focused on honoring our human journey through contemplative events, installations, and programs that serve the neighborhood to help people slow down, connect, and support each other.
