Connecting Families Primary Years: Habilitation & Preparing for a New School Year
Connecting Families Primary Years: Habilitation & Preparing for a New School Year
Parents and carers of primary school-aged children with VI – join us for an online session focused on preparing for a new class, a new class team, and the transition into a new school year.
Starting a new school year can bring both excitement and uncertainty for children and families. This session will explore practical ways to support your child through change and help new staff understand how best to support them.
We'll be joined by RSBC's Habilitation Specialist, who will share advice on skills that can help children navigate new environments with confidence.
What we'll cover:
Preparing your child for a new class, class team, or school year
Habilitation skills that support independence and confidence in school
Working with new staff and using pupil passports
What to expect:
Practical advice from RSBC's Habilitation Specialist
Tips and strategies to support a positive transition into the new school year
A supportive space to ask questions and connect with other parents and carers
This session will take place online, and we’ll send you the Zoom details once you’ve registered for the event.
