Ever wanted to learn poker but didn’t know where to start? Now is your chance. Whether you have never played before or are looking to meet other tech people, this night is all about learning, laughing, and meeting new people! Have fun with us in the South Bay.
Join the founding team of ContextBuddy for a fun, FREE, beginner-friendly poker workshop in San Jose. We're bringing our passion for building intelligent systems and applying it to a night of learning poker. We will start with a hands-on introduction covering:
Basic rules and terminology
Hand rankings and betting basics
Friendly table play with no real money involved
Schedule:
5:00 - 5:40 PM: Mingling, chips, pizza, noodles
5:40 - 5:50 PM: Opening speech.
5:50 - 6:15 PM: Learn the basics of cards, betting, and strategy.
6:15 - 7:00 PM: Get into tables and put your new skills into action.
7:00 - 7:15 PM: Intermission and thank you.
7:15 - 7:45 PM Network or stick around and play.
