​Keep the conversations going after OWASP Day at the University of Ottawa with a relaxed Tech2Step Walk & Connect.

​Join cybersecurity professionals from across Ottawa’s ecosystem for an informal 45–60 minute walk exploring career paths, emerging skills, communities, and what’s next in cybersecurity.

​Participants will head out in casual walking groups to connect one-on-one with cybersecurity professionals, community leaders, mentors, and fellow tech enthusiasts.

​Conversations may include:

• ​Security topics: AppSec, OWASP, DevSecOps, AI security, and other emerging cybersecurity trends

• ​Government and national-security careers, industry opportunities, and the skills employers are looking for

• ​Cybersecurity communities in Ottawa, certifications, mentorship, and ways to get more involved

• ​Navigating career changes, breaking into cybersecurity, and advancing into leadership roles

​Students, early-career professionals, experienced practitioners, newcomers, career changers, and anyone curious about cybersecurity are welcome.
