💡 Creatives ONLY Social Club Picnic in the Presidio of San Francisco
You know that thing where someone asks what you do for fun and you start talking about your [novel/ceramics practice/film photography/embroidery obsession] and their eyes glaze over within 30 seconds? Yeah. This club is for you.
Creatives ONLY Social Club is a brand new gathering for Bay Area people who have a creative bone — or several — in their bodies. You don't need a portfolio. You don't need a business card that says "artist." You just need to genuinely, deeply, maybe-a-little-obsessively care about some form of creative expression. Writers, painters, photographers, musicians, dancers, potters, filmmakers, knitters, collage girlies, beat-makers — if it counts as art to you, it counts here.
We're kicking things off with a picnic on the Presidio's Main Parade Lawn (find us between the food trucks and the Walt Disney Family Museum — yes, we picked the most whimsical landmark on purpose). We'll have light bites and non-alcoholic drinks covered, and you're welcome to bring whatever your heart desires. Bring your own beverage, bring a snack to share, bring your sketchbook — we don't care, just bring yourself.
The vibe? Warm. A little chaotic in the best way. The kind of afternoon where you show up not knowing anyone and leave with three new people whose brains work exactly like yours.
If the fog has other plans (it's San Francisco, so), we'll migrate inside to Il Parco next to the visitor's center across the lawn to keep the party going.
