​You know that thing where someone asks what you do for fun and you start talking about your [novel/ceramics practice/film photography/embroidery obsession] and their eyes glaze over within 30 seconds? Yeah. This club is for you.
​Creatives ONLY Social Club is a brand new gathering for Bay Area people who have a creative bone — or several — in their bodies. You don't need a portfolio. You don't need a business card that says "artist." You just need to genuinely, deeply, maybe-a-little-obsessively care about some form of creative expression. Writers, painters, photographers, musicians, dancers, potters, filmmakers, knitters, collage girlies, beat-makers — if it counts as art to you, it counts here.
​We're kicking things off with a picnic on the Presidio's Main Parade Lawn (find us between the food trucks and the Walt Disney Family Museum — yes, we picked the most whimsical landmark on purpose). We'll have light bites and non-alcoholic drinks covered, and you're welcome to bring whatever your heart desires. Bring your own beverage, bring a snack to share, bring your sketchbook — we don't care, just bring yourself.
​The vibe? Warm. A little chaotic in the best way. The kind of afternoon where you show up not knowing anyone and leave with three new people whose brains work exactly like yours.
​If the fog has other plans (it's San Francisco, so), we'll migrate inside to Il Parco next to the visitor's center across the lawn to keep the party going.
