Film Club: Evil Does Not Exist (2024)

​The new film from Oscar-winning director Ryûsuke Hamaguchi (Drive My Car) has been described as "a haunting, entirely unexpected cinematic experience that reconstitutes the boundaries of the ecopolitical thriller." Set deep in the forest of a small rural village in Japan, it focuses on a single parent and his daughter and the untouched land they live on which is disrupted by the arrival of industry.
