A Trio of Rolling: Jazz, Pasta, Joints

​Celebrating the release of ensemble YOCOYA's new album CITY SPIRITS, we bring together a trio of rolling at a North East Los Angeles Summer Garden Party.

​Through the ROLLING of ANGELO VELASQUEZ on his drums with members of the band, music will fill the air with beats inspired by Mexican, Cuban, and American Jazz.

​FRANCESCO ALLEGRO of Eagle Rock's Capri Club will be ROLLING artisanal pasta for the occasion and curates a 5-course dinner with the help of Porc Fork's RAMIRO GUERRERO, the Spinning Plate's SONY LOPEZ, and Friends of Friends Supper Club's DANIEL FLORES. The vegetarian meal will include a starter, three pasta courses, and dessert.

​AND if you smoke joints, your palate will be awakened by NOAH RUBIN, former editor of Snoop Dogg's media platform Merry Jane, and author of HOW WE ROLL: the Art and Culture of Joints, Blunts, and Spliffs. There will be lessons in various styles of joint ROLLING from his book and shared experiences from his international travels plus personally signed copies available for guests in attendance.

​Freaky Tiki's ANDRÉS MAX VALDEZ brings his traveling downtown cocktail pop-up to offer tropical libations by partners Peroni, Esfuerzo Mezcal, Cruzan Rum, Haku Vodka, Basil Hayden Whiskey, Volando Tequila, and Ventura Spirits' Strawberry Thief--also featured with dessert. Local neighborhood fave INNER REALMZ INK is popping up to give guests a signature flash tattoo for an additional charge.

​The hillside garden has stairs, terraces, and gazebos. Flat-bottomed shoes are highly recommended, heels discouraged. Ride share is preferred for our guests and parking can often be found further up the street.
