Gushing with strange energy, Daniel’s canvases are alive with characters who seem somewhere between buzzed and a little anxious. Bent flowers, iconic symbolism, and chaotic characters sit in spaces that feel completely imagined.
Daniel creates worlds that echo artists like Hieronymus Bosch and Pieter Bruegel the Elder in their density, strangeness, and humor, while creating a world that is distinctly his own.
This opening also marks 5 years of Arcana! Five years of gathering together, of artists, musicians, friends, and strangers filling this space and making it what it is. We are stoooked to celebrate with you.
And because it wouldn’t be an Arcana celebration without music, DJ Mike Bee (Vinyl Dreams) will be taking us into the night spinning disco, house, dub, downtempo, acid jazz, & funk on vinyl!
Mike Bee has a wild cache of music knowledge and knows how to get a room moving. You can also find him behind the decks at Vinyl Dreams Records, a San Francisco staple for dance and electronic music.
Come party with us!!! <3
