The 10x Growth Walk
The 10x Growth Walk
Toronto Tech Week has a lot of panels, demos, pitch events, and networking mixers.
This isn’t one of them.
This is a small group of founders, investors, operators, and curious builders walking through downtown Toronto before sitting down for a long coffee conversation about what’s actually happening in tech, AI, startups, markets, and life.
No tickets being scanned every five seconds.
No one trying to speed-network 40 people in 20 minutes.
No pretending we all “love the energy in the room.”
Just good conversations with smart people.
The Walk
The Tour
From 3:00pm to 3:10pm we wait for everyone while doing some stretches
We start at St. James Cathedral on King Street East — one of Toronto's most iconic landmarks, a Gothic Revival church with Canada's tallest steeple, built by a congregation founded in 1797 before Canada was even a country. The people who built this city were founders too, betting on a patch of wilderness on Lake Ontario with nothing but belief and grit.
From there we walk east along King Street — past heritage buildings sitting beside glass towers, a city constantly reinventing itself — and arrive at the Distillery Historic District. Forty-four Victorian-era industrial buildings that once housed the largest distillery in the British Empire. Today it's home to galleries, studios, restaurants, and creative businesses. Toronto doesn't tear things down. It re-imagines them. That's the 10x instinct.
We end at Balzac's Coffee — an iconic Grand Parisian-style café inside a restored 1895 Pump House, right in the heart of the Distillery District. Everyone grabs a coffee, we pull up chairs, and the real conversation begins.
The walk takes about 30 minutes. The conversation takes as long as it needs to. If you missed the walk, yes, you can meet up us at Balzac's Coffee
The Round Table
Once seated at Balzac’s, Wilson will provide light snacks and basic refreshments for the group, and guests are welcome to order their own drinks or food from the café menu.
founders and investors sit together at one table. No slides. No pitches. we will discuss some important question that cut straight to what matters and then have the thoughtful random related discussions.
1. Who are you and what are you building or investing in? A quick, honest intro. Name, company, stage. What's the actual thing you're working on?
2. Why are you building it — and how do you win? Not the pitch version. The real reason. And what does winning actually look like for you?
3. What AI tools are you using and how are they helping? Real tools, real use cases. What's genuinely moving the needle for you right now?
4. What's your biggest bottleneck — and what help do you need? The room can help. Be specific. Whether it's hiring, capital, distribution, intros, or product — say it out loud.
5. Where's the 10x market opportunity right now? What sector, trend, or timing do you think the market is still underpricing? Where would you put money today?
Each person gets 3 to 5 minutes. No decks, no pressure. Just founders and investors being straight with each other over coffee.

And he knows what real loss looks like. Like Luna and Figma
That's the spirit of this walk. Not a highlight reel. A real conversation between people who are serious about building and investing, who understand that the path to 10x runs straight through risk, failure, and the willingness to keep going anyway.
Why 10x?
Most people spend their lives optimizing for 10 to 20 percent gains. A better salary. A slightly higher return. A marginally bigger deal. And there's nothing wrong with that — except that it rarely changes your life.
10x is different.
One or two genuine 10x outcomes — whether in revenue, profit, investment return, or transaction volume — can do something that a lifetime of incremental progress cannot. They can give you financial freedom. The ability to choose your work, your time, your life, without asking anyone's permission.
But more than that, they give you something harder to name. Call it soul freedom. The freedom to build what you actually believe in. To invest in what genuinely excites you. To stop playing someone else's game and start playing your own.
That's what this walk is about.
10x is not a number. It’s a belief. Here's the thing most people get wrong — 10x is not hard. It's realistic. It just requires you to be in the right room, thinking the right way, at the right time.
Look around. The world is full of 1000x stories. Bitcoin. Nvidia. NFTs, you call it. however those are hard to chase. if we made one 10X after another, then we are good to take care of ourselves
We want to bring together the most dedicated founders, investors, and builders to discover and create the next 10x opportunities together.
Toronto Tech Week is a citywide celebration of the people building what’s next. From May 25–29, 2026, founders, investors, and builders come together for hundreds of community-led events across Toronto, connecting tens of thousands of people around Canadian tech.
